FI am sharing my currently August and linking up with Anne in Residence here. School has started up now for everyone; I work year round teaching, but it is always a different dynamic with my adult students once their kiddos are in school too. My work schedule has changed for the first time in a year and it is crazy how much just this subtle change has thrown me off. I’ve been working on my continuing education class and Devin has been home sick from work the last two days. Beyond that, this is what I have been snacking on, anticipating, borrowing, admiring and purchasing 🙂 .
SNACKING ON…
string cheese and veggies. I’m getting back into the keto groove after taking half a week off. I lost 11 pounds and I have a ways to go still. I’m posting about this diet more extensively soon.
ANTICIPATING…
the eclipse happening this month! Devin has been so excited looking up glasses for us that are Nasa-approved. We can see the eclipse pretty well from our house and he is planning on working from home to see it. I’ve never seen an eclipse so I’m pretty excited.
BORROWING…
a carpet cleaner. We have two different rugs in our house and they both needed it. I’m impressed how clear they’ve stayed over the last four years, but after cleaning them up I’m kind of grossed out. I’m not a huge fan of carpet and this kind of confirmed it. My friend also said that it is great for cleaning tile and I’ve been working on our shower tile.
AADMIRING…
places in Ireland and places with cooler weather. I can’t stop myself making a list of places I want to see next summer that are close by and cooler: Asheville, North Carolina is on the top of my list.
PURCHASING…
not very much. We’re in saving mode for Ireland, but I do have a few items I need to pick up before October: a rain jacket, my pack, and some comfy waterproof shoes. I’m also looking up pants that look like real pants, but are actually exercise leggings so I can wash/dry them in the sink faster.
