August felt like it was a year long. As I was compiling everything for this post, I was actually shocked when I realized how many things I felt and accomplished this month. It was a bit of a roller coaster and I’m on the “I’m feeling the adrenaline” phase of it being over. I’m looking forward to the next few months, and of course, the traveling in our future!
HIGHS
- Even though I did not want to quit my job and there were a lot of tears, I’m realizing how much more creative I have been feeling since I did. I’ve been shocked at how many ideas have started coming up for me and how many goals I am starting to develop around blogging; I’m excited!
- I worked on two blogging campaigns that I really loved this month and I feel like I learned a lot otherwise that I need to start implementing.
- I finished my first continuing ed class for my teaching license (all of my credits are due in June). My masters doesn’t count as continuing education even though it was teaching related, but for some reason a travel writing class did haha! I enjoy learning and I plan on taking more writing or potentially web design to fufill the rest of my credits.
LOWS
- I quit my job and I miss my awesome students, but it has also been positive for me.
- I’ve been going to therapy for my PTSD since last fall. It has been kind of intense for me and I feel like I’m getting back to normal for the first time in months. It can be easy for people with PTSD to become re-traumatized from therapy as stuff starts to be discussed and that is the place where I have been. I feel like things are getting back to normal and I’m happy for it.
