The last time I went to Pigeon Forge someone took a Polaroid picture of me because I was the little kid the magician picked. This time I’m married, mortgaged, and I’m debating on what age range is considered “mid-twenties” ?
Even in our marriage, in these four and a half years, we’ve had a lot of changes ourselves. For example, when we first were dating and newly married, Devin would get embarrassed so easily. We were next to a busy road when I started setting up my tripod for these photos. I wondered if he would go for it or not; he never would have a few years ago! I was a waiting for a protest when he said: “I’ll do it, but only if I get a kiss.” Wish granted, photos taken!
My heart has been asking for more green space, less people, and more time with Devin for a little while. The Smokies more than provided in a big, big way. We’ve been to over half of the country, and somehow, I feel that I lucked out because I think my favorite place is just four hours away… and I’ve been listening to Dolly Parton non-stop since we came home.
I am now fully convinced that we are going to drag our future theoretical children to Pigeon Forge every chance we can get; Devin was trying to simmer down my excitement because I totally fell in love with every gimmicky tourist trap in a 45 minute radius. Please picture Goofy Movie, but with me snort laughing and grabbing my inhaler from laughing too hard. It is pretty much going to be epic.

I love the Smokies! I grew up in Nashville and everyone there spend most vacations in Pigeon Forge or Gatlinburg.

Nashville is one of my favorite places! We originally applied to jobs there, prior to moving to Atlanta, but the job market wasn’t big enough for us to find exactly what we wanted. I grew up two hours north of Nashville in Kentucky and it was the big city my family went to when we needed something.

As a child we would spend all our fall breaks in Gatlinburg! It is so much fun and plenty of family friendly things to go.

The last time I was there, I admittedly had chicken pox haha :). That area has to be the most beautiful place in the fall!! We are definitely planning trips back during that time!

Beautiful pictures! How cute that your husband traded you a picture for a kiss. You made me actually LOL with “snort laughing and grabbing my inhaler from laughing too hard.” That’s totally something I’ve done before!

I’m glad that I’m not the only one who has asthma attacks from laughing too hard haha 🙂

This looks like such a great place to visit. Such a stunning backdrop for your beautiful photos. I could easily visit the Maldives again and again, my husband and I honeymooned there and it was incredible.
Autumn
That sounds like an amazing honey moon!!

So pretty! <3 I've never been around there, but it's actually somewhat close(r) to the place where I just moved from. I wish I'd had more of a chance to explore!

It is definitely worth the trip!! 🙂
