We haven’t had family photos since 2012 when we lived in Utah. Shocking, I know! With traveling and graduate school, family photos haven’t been a priority financially. I met Benita from BRC Photography for the first time when she took a photo shoot for my candle shop I ran for a few months.
I was really nervous because we had never had a conversation, but she was honestly so hilarious and we had a lot of fun! My husband and myself are on the quieter side as a couple and I knew we’d both be more comfortable if we already knew the person taking our family photos. With photos in the past, I’ve stressed out and spent a ton of time on my hair and makeup. I think approaching 30 has made me a lot more laid back. I just wore my hair and makeup how I always wear it and I’m so much happier that I did. For clothing though, I enlisted my instagram friends to help me figure out what outfit to wear. People gave such great feedback and it really helped me pick out something that I loved, but would also photograph well 🙂 .Devin was a great sport about shopping and this is now my favorite work shirt on him!
I’m so impressed with our experiences with BRC Photography! I’m very happy that we have such beautiful photo photos and I’m committing that we’re doing family photos every year from now. Hold me to that promise, okay!?
