I’m sharing the Christmas photos we took with my tripod here because we flew to Arizona for Evie’s second Christmas. We just had our first toddler Christmas and it was full of very sweet memories for us.
We were able to introduce Evie to Devin’s dad’s family, take her to our friend Christmas party we go to every time we visit, and she looooved on the doggies where we were staying so much.
She did excellently on the flight there and was delighted when the person behind us played peekaboo with her. Most of our time in Arizona was chasing her around and comforting her because she ended up with a really bad sinus infection (that turned into an ear infection); we went to urgent care when she had a fever of 102 and she started some antibiotics which have really helped.
I’m linking up below with Anne in Residence on what we’re doing currently, you can see my last currently/ life lately posts here.
I’M CURRENTLY…
RESOLVING | to make better health habits next year. I started out strong with getting in shape this year and I’ve kept going to the gym, but my food and exercise have gone down the drain as Evie has gotten more mobile. I’m also making goals around blogging, books, etc. that I will post here later.
READING | less. I read 40+ books this year and I want to commit to working on more than just reading in 2020.
CLEANING | and organizing everything after Christmas. Evie was given a lot of toys and now we’re trying to figure out where to place them all! I see a trip to IKEA in the future to buy some organizational units for each floor in our house. Currently, we just have toy organization in our basement.
CREATING | more recipes! I’ve been in a food rut and I’m trying more of a variety of things. Bonus: I have a lot of recipes to put up on the blog.
PLANNING | on making some teething necklaces. I frequently buy a word of the year necklace and I discovered quickly that we’re not there yet with jewelry. Evie has broken a few of my necklaces at church, but that was a few months ago. I’m not traditionally a crafter, but I am really excited about this!
We’ve really loved being parents over these big holidays this year. Evie made decorating for Christmas, which I traditionally don’t love, so much fun. I loved sharing our favorite foods with her too.
I hope everyone had a very Merry Christmas as well!
