quarter 4 | goals 2018

October 1, 2018growth

I’m going to keep my goals pretty simple for this quarter.  My due date is in late December, enough said.  I want to have the house fully nested and continue reading.  I’ve been a little reclusive the last few months as I’ve been taking care of stuff around here, going to more therapy, and figuring out where the next few months are going to land us.  I hope that I can share a little bit more soon as that will definitely take some of the worries away.

Review on my 3rd quarter goals:

Simplify our home

  • Clean and organize all that I can
This has looked different from week to week, but we have gotten rid of several car fulls of things to take to the thrift store.  I hoped I would be finished with this before my third trimester, but I’m not.  However, we’re definitely hitting the phase where it is less about getting rid of stuff and more about organizing and then deep cleaning what we do have.

Become healthier

  • Start a daily walking routine
Not even.  I was in such a good routine before morning sickness hit, but the heat outside makes me so nauseous.  It is still in the 90s now.
  • Continue going to therapy/ endo appointments
I need to schedule another endo appointment.  I’m currently going to therapy twice a month, doing weekly sessions with my cousin, and my therapist just asked me if I wanted to join a support group that was created.  I’ve definitely needed the mental health care to stay grounded with some stuff going on.

Learn more

  • Read the scriptures
Yes, but it needs to be on a routine.  I’ve gotten out of my routine again.
  • Read church talks
Yes, I’m currently challenging myself to listen to all of the previous session’s general conference talks again before conference in 6 days.
  • Read books
I read over 13;  I ended up quitting a few halfway through because I couldn’t get into them.
  • Submit my information to have my teaching license continued (I have until September)
    Yup.

Share/make content that means something to someone

  • Create three videos on youtube (book reviews, travel, or my word of the year updates)
I wrote this post doing an update on my word of the year, but haven’t done any videos.  I’ll end up doing a big update when some things end up getting resolved for us.
  • Evaluate my blogging services that I use and decide which ones to keep/cut
I ended up cutting one of my blogging services.

Learn to really love Georgia

  • Go on a baby moon (this might be really nearby because currently I get very sick in a car)
We’re saving this for a little later.  I get sick in cars on 30-1 hour trips still, but fall is about to happen and we’re really excited to see some colors in the trees 🙂 .
