I have been day dreaming of what my baby’s nursery would look like long before I even really could fathom the idea of having a baby. I remember several our friends having their first children our first year of marriage; shortly after, my love affair of Baby Gap’s girl clothing began. Hard day of teaching? I’d peruse their website looking at frilly poplin dresses with lace or little baby cardigans. Bored and feeling like an insomniac? Baby shoes. When we found out we were having a girl, I was really excited because I have collected a few things over the years to put in her nursery. This is my vintage themed baby girl nursery that I’m looking forward to putting together 🙂 .

1 // Gulliver Crib from Ikea for $99
The first crib I ever saw that I fell in love with was a Jenny Lind crib, but Devin wasn’t a fan of how it looked, and I wasn’t a fan of the price tag when we have other stuff on the table. I also wanted to make sure the colors of white matched in the dresser and the crib; the easiest way to do that was to get the crib and dresser from the same place. If we have kids that share a room in the future, it will just be easiest to go to Ikea and get a bed that matches too.
2 // Secret Garden 3 piece crib set for $78
I thought floral would be cute with the wall art I thrifted and this crib set brings some of the brighter colors from it out 🙂 . Of course, if we end up needing to buy a bunch of random stuff from our registry, I’m not going to be splurging on a crib set. I’m fine with a normal white sheet set because realistically babies poop and I’ll be washing them a lot.
3 // Hemnes, 8-drawer dresser from Ikea for $279
We thought this dresser would be too big for a baby, but would be great if our kids share a room in the future. If they don’t, we’ll steal it for our room. We’re planning on using the dresser as our baby changing station too.
4 // White noise machine for $13
I thought this was adorable! I have a small owl collection I plan on putting in the nursery and thought this would be a very cute sound machine.
5 // Vintage crule art thrifted for $10
I picked this poster sized art up from the thrift store a few years ago. It hung above our bed for a few years, but I hoped I’d be able to put it in a nursery someday. I love all of the colors and textures on it!
6 // Seafoam green black out curtains for $35
Black out curtains are important for more sleep so this was one of the first items I put on our registry. I like this seaform color 🙂 .
7 // Woodland nursery letters
I’m going to order these letters with baby E’s name spelled out. We’ve shared her name with people when they ask, but we haven’t put it on the internet yet. I’m not sure when I’ll share it, but these letters sure are cute!
We’re going for everything gender neutral decor wise except for her name and the art above her bed. We’ve bought a lot of hand me downs from friends and people have given us some stuff- it is saving us a lot of money which is amazing! It is great too because a lot of my friends have been able to give us some great recommendations; this baby is already very loved. I need to buy some thank you cards to send out and we’ll be going to a baby consignment sale next week.
The list of things to do and finish up seems to be growing, but we’re also getting into a routine. I’ve been very grateful for a healthy pregnancy even though I’m way over nausea and vomiting.
