I’ve been perusing my Goodreads account and I’ve decided I’m going to stop neglecting books I’ve been wanting to read for a while. I read plenty of great books in 2016 and my goal for this year is to read 52 books. I’m almost finished with one or two already which is a good start. Lucky for me, I realized quickly that there are exactly 12 books I am reading in 2017 on this list and that seems totally doable- one book from this list once a month. I can totally do that!
COMING OUT IN FILM IN 2017
- All the Bright Places
- The Invisible Man
- The Guernsey Literary and Potato Peel Pie Society
I’ve seen this in bookstore several times. I love the cover and it sounds really interesting. - A Wrinkle in Time
This is a re-read and a favorite series of mine! - A Monster Calls
I saw the movie poster for this and was so mesmerized by it that I actually went back by it and wrote down the name of the movie. After looking it up, I was excited to see that it is based on a book!! I’m excited to read the book and then go see the movie 🙂 .
HAVE TO READ
- The Thirteenth Tale
Devin bought this for me my birthday three years ago after looking up my want to read list on Goodreads. Husband, how awesome are you?! It is beyond me why I haven’t read it yet. - The Book of Lost Things
- The Magnolia Story
Everyone loves the Gaines family, me included! I think they seem so down to earth and I’m excited to read their book! - Tribes: We Need You to Lead Us
- The Gift of Fear
I have been recommended this book several times and I am so excited to read it! - Big Magic: Creative Living Beyond Fear
- Uninvited
I wish this book was out when we moved here five years. I still heavily need the message though and I’m waiting for the price to go down on Amazon.
I like books from a lot of genres, but easily find myself reading fantasy and fairy tale books already. I love making goals like this though to push myself to fill in the gaps with other genres. I’m looking forward to reading these books!
