I really love clothing, but I have been really bugged by trying to define what my style is. You know how sometimes you see something and YOU KNOW exactly the person who would wear it? That is what I am talking about and that is what I am trying to better develop. By perusing my closet and the things I most frequently wear, I know I like classics, polka dots, cardigans (I have this by default of being a teacher, probably), and I tend to go towards more of a “teacher casual.” If I had unlimited money, all of my clothing would probably come from Anthropologie and ShopRuche. I’m sharing a little bit about stripes and personal style.

So, a little bit about my personal style.
My favorite jewelry is all vintage hand me downs, things from auction boxes, or thrift store finds. In clothing, I love: lace, classic cuts, tunics, and romantic vibes; I like neutral colors tones, but I do not like very bright and vibrant colors. I am developing a thing for sun hats because sunblock often is too harsh for my skin (it feels like I am getting a mild chemical peel) and I am going to have to start splurging for shoes that have arch support + also look cute!
When I love something, I wear it until I wear it out. Exhibit A: the jacket I am wearing in these photos was bought my freshman year of college 10 years ago. Because I do wear things for a long time, I want to start buying higher quality items that really fit my style. However, I know that I have to be careful because it is easy for me to pick “cutesy” things that can make me look like a little girl since I am 5’3 and have a very young looking face.
What were things you did to be conscious of your style and buy a lasting wardrobe??? Help a sister out!!
